It’s a Star Wars HARVEST FEST

The new addition for 2015 is the Harlan Harvest Fest Street Market. -- Lori Christensen, event organizer

HARLAN – Star Wars is the theme for this year’s Harlan Harvest Fest celebration, to be held Saturday, Oct. 24, with trick-or-treating at businesses, a parade, children’s games, scary story time and Street Market among the events scheduled for the one-day event. The HCHS Student Council also will be selling cotton candy.
Lori Christensen, Harlan Newspapers representative and co-developer of the event, said it should be cool and crisp harvest-like weather, just perfect for residents to head to the downtown Harlan square for the days’ events.
“I can’t believe this is the 14th-annual event,” said Christensen.  “We’re very excited as the festival has grown so much over the years, and the sponsors and committee members appreciate the support.”
