JAXON STRONG

Harlan eight-year-old fighting rare form of brain cancer
The doctors using words like cancer and brain tumor, it’s like they’re not even talking about my kid." -- Devin Mahoney, Jaxon’s Mom

HARLAN -- As Jaxon Rold chomped down on a cooked green bean fresh out of the garden, his parents anxiously awaited his response.
“I want more of this,” Jaxon responded. “But, it could use some salt.”
Despite the lack of spice, Jaxon’s parents, Trent Rold and Devin Mahoney, were relieved. The green beans were one of the first foods that Jaxon could enjoy after returning home from the hospital with weeks of vomiting and hunger that was a result of Medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer.
