Santa in the Cabins at Historical Museum

HARLAN -- For the second year in a row, Santa Claus will be making an early stop in Harlan, at the historic McIntosh cabin. Do not miss the chance to see Santa Claus at the Shelby County Historical Museum’s Santa in the Cabins. Santa in the Cabins is a community-oriented event that will feature ornament decorating, cookies and hot chocolate, and of course, Santa Claus. Everyone is encouraged to come and share in the fun, but children are especially welcome.
“Our Board of Directors came up with this concept last fall to share our historic log cabins with the community. We love to imagine the decades of Christmas traditions that took place in these homes and we are thrilled to be able to build on those memories with this new annual event,” said Nate Buman, Executive Director of the Shelby County Historical Museum.
Santa in the Cabins will take place at the Shelby County Historical Museum on
Thursday, December 14 at 5:30 p.m. In addition to the evening’s activities, the
Prairie Trails Exhibit Hall will be open to tour. If you require special
assistance or have questions about the event, please contact the Museum
at 712-755-2437. While the Museum appreciates donations, there is no
admission charge for Santa in the Cabins.
