Duane Carroll, 62

    AVOCA -- Duane Jon “Dewey” Carroll, 62, Avoca, died November 6 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center.
    Services were held Saturday, Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the AHSTW High School gymnasium in Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery at Avoca.
    Carroll is survived by his wife, Lynne (Kaufman) Carroll of Avoca; daughters Julie (Jason Jenneman) Carroll of Harlan and Katie (Nick) Waugh of Mitchell, SD; sons Tom (Amy) Carroll of Walnut and Andrew (Alisha) Carroll of Ankeny; sister Donna (Jim) Doolittle of Cedar Rapids; brother Dwight Carroll of Harlan; brother-in-law Jon Roos of Polk City; and grandchildren Avery and Lexi Waugh, both of Mitchell, and Avah Hemminger, Addison Carroll and Alyssa Carroll, all of Walnut.
    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca was in charge of arrangements.
