Marvin Joseph Kenkel, 90, Portsmouth, passed away at Avoca Specialty Care in Avoca on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

Survivors include his son, Steve Kenkel and his wife Charlene of Toledo; his daughter, Judy Hoff and her husband Sam of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Sarah Kenkel of Toledo, Derek Johnk of Iowa City, and Rachel Johnk of Lincoln, NE; three great-grandchildren, Allie Sjullie of Cedar Rapids, Charlie Johnk of Iowa City, and Ellis Leuenberger of Lincoln, NE; two brothers, Urban and Dean Kenkel; and other family members.
An 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. David Smith S.J. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth.
