1A Regional Volleyball: CR-B ousts Spartans

 COON RAPIDS (Oct. 16) -- The Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton volleyball team was swept by Coon Rapids-Bayard 20-25, 12-25, 15-25 in a Class 1A regional opener Tuesday night, finishing the season with a 3-25 match record.
 Statistical highlights for the Spartans included Leslie Caniglia with eight kills and six digs, Makaela Riley with six kills and six digs and Macy Emgarten’s three kills. Caniglia’s kill efficiency was a solid .241.
 Lauren Hansen set 15 of the team’s 19 assists to go along with 10 digs and Ellie Schultes had three assists and 13 digs. Additional dig leaders included Amy Hartvigsen with eight, Destiny Dawson six and Tatum Grubbs five.
