Baseball: Vikings rally past Big Reds

 MISSOURI VALLEY (June 17) -- AHSTW rallied past the Missouri Valley baseball team for the second time this season Monday night, scoring three runs in the top of the seventh to beat the Big Reds 3-2. The Vikings also beat Mo. Valley 7-6 in nine innings May 31.
 Trailing 2-0 after the home team plated a run in the sixth, AHSTW got things going in the seventh with a one-out walk to Clayton Akers and back-to-back singles by Blake Holst and Brody Langer. With the bases loaded, Lane Nelson tied the game with a two-RBI single and Gabe Madsen’s ground ball to the right side plated Langer to make it 3-2.
 Sam Porter (4-0) pitched the final inning and two-thirds to get the win, allowing no base runners and striking out three in relief of Lucas Young and Nelson (4 innings, 1 unearned run).
 The Vikings outhit Missouri Valley 10-4 as Langer went 3-for-4 at the plate and Akers was 2-for-3 with a walk. Also adding singles were Joey Cunningham, Blake Holst, Nelson, Madsen and Joey Goins.
