Cyclone Cross Country Camp running through Friday

 HARLAN -- The annual Harlan Community Cyclone Cross Country Camp for grades 7-12 is being held this week (August 6-10) with 44 total runners in attendance.
 The five-day camp will conclude with a timed four-kilometer race Friday morning at Prairie Rose State Park. The athletes took part in various workouts throughout the week, including a team-based obstacle course competition held Tuesday morning at the high school’s east practice field.
 HCHS head coach Doug Renkly said that the high school roster currently stands at 45 total runners for the 2018 season. The Cyclone girls will return at least six varsity letter winners from last fall while the boys squad has four returning letter winners.
 The 2017 season was capped by Greichaly Kaster (then a junior) and freshman Brecken Van Baale qualifying for the state meet in Fort Dodge.
