Cyclone duo on 2A All-State soccer teams

 DES MOINES -- Harlan Community seniors Keaton Jones and Drew Voge were both named to at least one all-state boys soccer team in June after leading the Cyclones to a 16-3 season and an appearance in the Class 2A substate finals.
 Jones was named to the Des Moines Register’s All-Iowa Boys Soccer Team (Class 2A) as the goal keeper and was invited to attend the Des Moines Register Sports Awards on June 23 at Wells Fargo Arena. The third annual event featured a special appearance by tennis icon Venus Williams.
 Jones finished with 61 saves this past season while allowing only eight goals, good for a save percentage of .884.
 Jones and Voge were both named to the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association All-State teams as honorable mention selections in Class 2A. Only a first team and honorable mention list were named.
 Voge, a midfielder, ranked second on the team with eight goals and totaled four assists, 42 shots and 29 shots on goal while breaking his own single-season school record with 75 steals. He also broke his older brother Jordan’s career mark with 248 steals.
