Cyclone netters outlast Clarinda in tough four-setter

 HARLAN (Oct. 4) -- The error count was a bit high at times, but the Harlan Community volleyball team found a way to win three out of four close sets here Thursday and beat Clarinda on Senior Night, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 25-20.
 HCHS took advantage of 15 Cardinal missed serves and 38 attack errors while showing improved blocking at the net and serving 93.7 percent with seven aces.
 Seniors Anna Ahrenholtz, Hayley Hopkins, Kara Weis and Olivia Petersen were recognized along with their parents before the game for the Cyclones, who improved to 4-5 in the Hawkeye Ten Conference and 12-15 overall. Clarinda, which has struggled of late, dropped to 3-6 and 6-18, respectively.
 All four sets were tight most of the way, with the last tie occurring at 19-19 (set one), 15-15, 19-19 and 16-16.
