Cyclone Volleyball Tourney field loaded with ranked teams

 HARLAN (Aug. 31) -- Seven state-ranked teams will be in the field this Saturday when Harlan Community opens the season by hosting the annual Cyclone Volleyball Tournament.
 The tournament field has increased to 11 teams this year and the format has changed. Pool A will feature six teams playing five best-of-three matches in pool play while Pool B will feature five teams playing four pool matches. After pool play is complete, all teams except the sixth-place team in Pool A will play a cross-pool match against the team that placed the same in the opposite pool. The two pool winners will play for the championship trophy.
 HCHS will compete in Pool A against 15th-ranked (2A) Tri-Center at 8:00 a.m., Treynor, 10th-ranked (5A) Indianola, 2nd-ranked (1A) Sidney and 11th-ranked (2A) Underwood. All Cyclone matches will be played on the south court of the high school gym.
 Pool B includes No. 12 (4A) Glenwood, No. 8 (5A) Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln, No. 9 (1A) St. Albert, East Sac County and Logan-Magnolia.
