Eagles too much for Lady Vikes

 AVOCA (Jan. 23) -- Underwood outscored the AHSTW girls 18-10 in the first quarter and 20-9 in the third on Tuesday night, paving the way for a 56-42 win in Avoca.
 Lauren Shapcott scored 24 points to lead the victorious Eagles, who improved to 13-4 overall and 10-3 inside the Western Iowa Conference.
 AHSTW, led by Morgan Eckmann’s 10 points, fell to 5-11 overall and 5-8 in the WIC.
 Also scoring for the Lady Vikes were Claire Denning and Claire Harris with nine points each, Josie Denning and Sidney Nelsen both with five, Sarah Butcher three points and Katie Anzalone one.
