LC girls hit 13 treys, rout Cyclones 60-34
COUNCIL BLUFFS (Dec. 15) -- The Lewis Central girls lived up to the hype of their number-two ranking in Class 4A Friday night, knocking down 13-of-31 three-pointers and holding Harlan Community below 20 points until the fourth quarter of a 60-34 win over the Cyclones.
HCHS trailed 28-14 at the half and 40-19 through three before both squads picked up the scoring in the final period.
Nicole Lange paced the Cyclones with 19 points and six rebounds on the night, hitting 7-of-14 free throws, and Anna Ahrenholtz added five points. HCHS was plagued by 18 turnovers and shot just 38.5 percent from the field.
LC senior Maegan Holt hit 4-of-5 treys and finished with a team-high 19 points and seven rebounds.
