Sieh signs with Bearcats

 AVOCA -- AHSTW senior AJ Sieh signed a national letter of intent on February 7 to play football at NCAA Division II powerhouse Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. Sieh (6-foot-4, 330 pounds) was a three-year starter at offensive left tackle and a two-year starter at defensive tackle for the Vikings and played on teams that went 30-11 during his four-year varsity career, including four playoff appearances.
 As a senior, Sieh recorded 10 solo tackles and 15 assists from the interior line, including two solo sacks, and anchored the offensive line for a unit that averaged more than 400 total yards per game. He also punted 18 times for an average of 32.8 yards. A three-time All-District selection and two-time winner of the team-voted Wade Lippold Top Lineman Award, Sieh has been chosen to play in the 2018 Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star Classic on July 21 at the UNI-Dome. He is also a two-time District All-Academic recipient, a member of the National Honor Society and was part of the 2017 Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil All-Area Team. Sieh was a state track qualifier in the discus last May.
