Spangenberg joins IGCA Coaches Hall of Fame

CARROLL -- Former Red Oak and Harlan Community coach Angie Spangenberg was inducted into the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame on Saturday, Nov. 18, at Carroll High School.
This year’s Hall of Fame ceremony was held during the annual IGCA Senior All-Star Weekend. Additional Hall of Fame inductees included coaches BJ Eldridge and Dennis Jandrey as well as long-time official Stuart Dusenberry of Atlantic.
“It is an honor to be included with coaches and officials that I have so much respect for,” Spangenberg said of her latest career award.
“Volleyball has provided me and my family with many memorable experiences and lifelong friendships. I am forever grateful to the Red Oak and Harlan Community school districts and communities for all of their support. I was fortunate to work with the very best assistant coaches and student-athletes that were willing to put in countless hours to reach our goals.”
