IKM-Manning senior gains 377 all-purpose yards, including punt, kickoff and INT return scores
MISSOURI VALLEY -- Less than two minutes into the game last Friday, IKM-Manning’s Jared Vollstedt returned a punt 72 yards for a touchdown against Missouri Valley.
He was only getting started.
Before the night was over, Vollstedt added two rushing touchdowns, a 94-yard kickoff return TD and a 100-yard interception return score. He finished with 377 all-purpose yards, five touchdowns and three solo tackles as the Wolves outscored the Big Reds, 52-35, to move into sole possession of second place in Class 1-A, District 1.
Vollstedt’s final stat ledger included seven carries for 56 yards, four kickoff returns for 149 yards and the punt return and pick-six totaling 172.
