Full-Time Production Assistant

Position Overview:

Harlan Publishing, LLC is seeking a reliable and motivated Production Assistant to join our team. This position involves cross-training in all areas of newspaper production, including press operations and mailroom distribution. The right candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cross-train on all aspects of newspaper production, including press operations and mailroom distribution
- Organize, sort, and ensure proper distribution of circular inserts
- Assist with repairs and maintenance of the printing press
- Collaborate with the Pressman and Production Manager to develop schedules for part-time employees

Qualifications:
- Ability to read and comprehend product manuals
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
