Charles Walter, 75

    ELK HORN -- Charles Ray Walter, 75, Elk Horn, died October 9 at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn.
    Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Walnut with burial in the Layton Township Cemetery at Walnut.  Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 3-9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca.
    Walter is survived by his wife, Gloria J. Walter, of Walnut; daughter Joanie (Glen) Rodgers of Walnut; brothers Donald (Jo Jane) Walter of Walnut and James (Beverly) Walter of Atlantic; and sister Marjorie Caster of Ottumwa.
