Connie Mae Hansen, 74

 Connie Mae Hansen, daughter of Melvin and Evelyn Coenen, was born on February 19, 1949 in Harlan, Iowa.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael’s Catholic Church and attended Harlan Community School.
On November 18, 1967 she was united in marriage to Tom Hansen.  To this union, one child was born, Sean Thomas Hansen.  Connie obtained her CNA license and worked at Elmcrest Nursing Home and later as a home healthcare provider.  She enjoyed antiques, her collections of chickens, angels and Boyds bears, jewelry, fashion, shoes and was one of the top shoppers of QVC.
Connie passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 24, 2023 at CHI Health Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, NE, attaining seventy-four years, 3 months and 5 days.  She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Evelyn Coenen and sister-in-law, Becky Kersten.
She is survived by her husband, Tom of Harlan; son Sean (Kristina) of Carson; granddaughter Rebecca (Gage), McClain; grandson Dean Hansen of Carson; great-grandsons Blaise and Slater McClain of Carson; siblings Dennis (Amy) Coenen, Gail (Gina) Coenen, Carol (Tom) Gaul, Mike (Cindy) Coenen, Bob (Deidra) Coenen; mother in law Irene (Granny) Hansen, brother-in-law Ted (DeAnn) Hansen, sister-in-law Jane (Dale) Washburn, nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.      
An 11:00 AM Funeral Service was officiated by Pastor Phil Nielsen on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan, Iowa. A burial will be held at a later date.
Pauley Jones Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
