Kristine Kay Thielen

Kristine Kay Thielen, daughter of Larry and Kathleen (Kasperbauer) Kington was born May 17, 1969 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa.  She was baptized at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Defiance, Iowa.  She attended grade and high school at Irwin-Kirkman Community School.
After high school, Kristine attended beauty school at Hair by Stewarts. She worked many years at Romeo’s in Omaha, Nebraska and Miller Road House.  She also babysat for many children throughout the years.
Kristine was blessed to have three children Jessica, Michael, and Ashley.  She enjoyed playing cards and pool.  She also loved cross stitching and creating beautiful pieces of art with her handy work.
Kristine passed away at her home in Harlan on Monday, February 12, 2024, attaining the age of fifty-four years, eight months, and twenty-six days.  She is survived by her children Jessica Thielen (Justin Graalfs) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Michael Thielen (Estefany Gonzalez) of Northlake, Texas; and Ashley Thielen (Jason Tetzlaff) of Harlan, Iowa; parents, Larry and Kathleen Kington of Irwin, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; brother, Scott (Jolene) Kington of Columbia, MO; other family members and many friends.
An 11:00 AM Memorial Service was officiated by Pastor Chad Hol on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan, Iowa. A burial will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Irwin, Iowa.
