Lowell Harper, 88

    HARLAN -- Lowell J. Harper, 88, Harlan, died February 17 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.
    Services will be held Monday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Harlan with inurnment at a later date in the Ames Cemetery in Ames.  Family will greet friends March 2 from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
    Harper is survived by his wife, Marcia Harper, of Harlan; daughters Beth (Ron) Buck of Harlan, Nancy Yockey of Carroll, Marti Usher of Harlan, Mary Jane (Jeff) Mohr of Council Bluffs and Karen (Jeff) (Harper) Scott of South Lyon, MI; son Steve (Vicki) Harper of Rockwell City; sisters Dorothy Likely of St. Louis, MO, Mary Lackore of Goshen, IN and Karel (Jerry) Hedrick of Fairfield, CA; brother Joe Harper of Nevada; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.
