Virginia Smyser, 97

    AVOCA -- Virginia Lee Smyser, 97, Avoca, died March 20 at the Avoca Nursing and Rehab Center.
    Services were held Thursday, March 24 at 11 a.m. at United Church of Christ in Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery at Avoca.
    Smyser is survived by sons John “Jack” (Janet) Smyser of Council Bluffs, Albert “Gene” (Darlene) Smyser of Sioux City, and Randall (Annette) Smyser of Rockport, MO; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca was in charge of arrangements.
