Bearcats’ Klein named indoor track All-American
MARYVILLE, MO. (May 26) -- Harlan native Marcus Klein was one of 20 Northwest Missouri State University student-athletes to receive 2020 NCAA Division II All-American honors Tuesday for the indoor track season.
The All-Americans were selected by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association based on the posted startlist for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, which were cancelled in March due to COVID-19.
Klein, a senior, qualified for nationals in the long jump with a mark of 7.45 meters that ranked 10th at the D-II level. He previously received All-Central Region honors from the USTFCCCA earlier this spring.
Klein was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll as well this month and graduated from NWMSU with a 3.98 GPA in mathematics.
