Boys Basketball: Cardinals top Wolves

 TREYNOR (Dec. 20) -- The IKM-Manning boys battled, but second-ranked (2A) Treynor gradually pulled away last Friday and handed the Wolves their fifth straight loss by a final count of 71-52.
 The Cardinals, now 7-0 overall and 6-0 in Western Iowa Conference play, led 19-14 after a quarter, 38-24 at the half and 57-37 after three. Jack Tiarks led the hosts with 20 points, Sid Schaaf scored 15 and Jack Stogdill had 13 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
 Kyler Rasmussen had a solid overall game for the Wolves with 22 points, five boards and three assists. He shot 7-of-10 from the field, 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and made all five of his free throws.
 Colby Keller also achieved double figures for IKM-M (2-5, 2-3 WIC) with 12 points, followed by Parker Behrens with seven, Amos Rasmussen five and Connor Halbur four.
