Conry earns multiple honors as Peru State football senior

PERU, NEB. -- Peru State College kicker Greg Conry was recognized at the College Foundation’s Alumni Chili Feed on February 20 and also at the football booster club’s annual banquet in January following an outstanding four-year career for the Bobcats.
A 2012 Harlan Community High School graduate, Greg is the son of Tom and Lisa Conry, rural Harlan. He is set to graduate Peru State in May with a degree in elementary education.
Conry, a 6-1, 190-pound kicker and punter, helped the Bobcats to a 7-4 overall record last fall, including a mark of 3-2 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. In his final collegiate contest, Conry kicked a game-winning 45-yard field goal as time expired, lifting Peru State past nationally-ranked Benedictine (Kansas), 19-17, to earn HAAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for the second time in his career.
Conry was also named first-team All-Conference and first-team Special Teams on the Omaha World-Herald’s All-Nebraska NAIA Football Team. USA College Football tabbed Conry on its Preseason All-American list (honorable mention) and selected him as one of four kickers on its NAIA All-American Team after the 2015 season. He was also named co-captain of the seven Bobcat Elite winners announced at the banquet.
