Cyclone trio named to All-State volleyball teams

HARLAN -- Another outstanding Harlan Community volleyball season was rewarded by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association last week as three Cyclone seniors were named to the 2015 IGCA All-State teams.
Middle hitter Taylor Frederick, in addition to being cited on the Class 4-A First Team, was one of just eight players selected to the all-class Elite Team from across the state. Frederick has previously been named second-team All-State as a junior and received honorable mention in 2013.
Cyclone libero Jordyn Moser and setter Jessica DuVal, meanwhile, both earned their first All-State recognition as members of the Class 4-A Second Team.
All three HCHS honorees were instrumental in leading the Cyclones to a 37-6 match record, a fifth consecutive state tournament appearance, a state runner-up finish in 4-A and a fourth straight Hawkeye Ten Conference title.
