Cyclones, Lady Vikes host Saturday VB tourneys

 AREA -- Harlan Community and AHSTW will both host their annual volleyball tournaments on Saturday (Aug. 28) starting at 8:00 a.m.
 The 11-team Cyclone Tournament includes three preseason state-ranked teams in Glenwood (Class 4A, No. 4), Indianola (4A, No. 10) and St. Albert (1A, No. 8). The AHSTW Tournament will feature eight total teams.

Harlan Community Cyclone Volleyball Tournament
Pool A: Harlan Community, Tri-Center, Treynor, Sidney, Underwood, Indianola.
Pool B: Glenwood, Missouri Valley, St. Albert, East Sac County, Logan-Magnolia.
 When pool play is complete, all teams except the sixth place team in Pool A will play a cross-pool match against the team that finished with the same place in the other pool. The two teams that win their initial pool will play for the first-place trophy.

8:00 a.m. - HCHS vs. Tri-Center
9:45 a.m. - HCHS vs. Treynor
10:30 a.m. - HCHS vs. Indianola
12:45 p.m. - HCHS vs. Sidney
2:15 p.m. - HCHS vs. Underwood

AHSTW Lady Vike Volleyball Tournament
Pool A: AHSTW, CAM, Denison-Schleswig, Earlham (High School gym).
Pool B: Atlantic, Thomas Jefferson, East Mills, Riverside (Elementary gym).
 Following pool play (three matches per team), the first and second-place teams from each pool will play a four-team tourney in the high school gym while the third and fourth-place teams will play things off in the elementary gym. Each team is guaranteed at least four matches.
