Cyclones lose to Atlantic Trojans by nine strokes

On Tuesday, the HCHS boys varsity golf team took on the Atlantic Trojans and lost to them by nine strokes.

“Jace Gubbels made a big putt on hole three and had several good up and downs to save par or bogey on his way to a runner-up medal,” said HCHS Head Golf Coach Chad Swanson.

Swanson also highlighted other players on the roster who continue to stand out.

“Braydon Ernst continues to be steady each round,” he said. “Alex Bladt and Sam Bladt also worked their way around the course to post scores that kept us competitive with a very good Atlantic team.”

Their next match will take place Tuesday at the Trojan Invitational at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club at 10 a.m. in which 13 schools will be competing.
