E-EHK boys hold off Rockets

 WESTSIDE (Jan. 3) -- Creighton Nelson led the way with 28 points and 11 rebounds Friday night to lead Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton past the Ar-We-Va boys 56-45 in Rolling Valley Conference action.
 The Spartans outscored the Rockets 16-9 in the third quarter to open up a 12-point lead and were able to hold on, improving to 4-3 overall and 3-3 in the RVC.
 Trey Petersen added 10 points for E-EHK, followed by Hunter Andersen with seven, Tyler Petersen six and Easton Nelson five.
