Comments from Head Coach Tony Santisteban
“I feel bad for the boys as they didn’t get to see what they were capable of. I try my best to get the most out of them as athletes and to show them that they can push their bodies way past what they thought they could.
“Some areas that I think would’ve been our strength were our sprinters and middle distance. I had a balanced group from freshmen to seniors and they were competitive for the short amount of time I was with them. It was tough to tell what I had as a group since it was such a short time.
“One of the things I hope the kids realize from this current situation is to do as many activities, clubs, or anything part of the school during your high school years. In the grand scheme of things, you don’t have a lot of time with all your classmates so make as many memories as you can together and enjoy the time you spend with each other. Smile a lot, laugh hard and love life.”
