F-M hands Spartans 51-6 playoff defeat

 TABOR (Oct. 16) -- Tenth-ranked Fremont-Mills forced five turnovers in the game and raced out to a 45-0 halftime lead last Friday night en route to a 51-6 first-round playoff win over Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton in 8-Player football action.
 Fremont-Mills (4-1) was led offensively by Jake Malcom’s 86 rushing yards (on just six carries) and one touchdown. He also passed for 96 yards and one score. Payten Van Houten added 60 rushing yards and scored three TDs and Paxten Van Houten had three receptions for 65 yards and one TD.
 Exira-EHK, which finished 0-7, scored its only points in the third quarter on senior quarterback Tyler Petersen’s two-yard run. Petersen completed 10-of-26 pass attempts on the night for 172 yards and was intercepted twice. Trey Petersen was the team’s top receiver with three catches for 120 yards.
 Wyatt Fahn and Tyler Petersen, two of the Spartans’ three seniors, led the defense with 10 total tackles apiece. Hunter Andersen was also a senior.
