Fast start carries Vikings past Sidney

 SIDNEY (Oct. 1) -- AHSTW started out fast with 21 first-quarter points and continued to pull away last Friday night, beating Sidney 44-6 to even its record at 3-3 overall. The Vikings kept their playoff hopes alive by improving to 2-3 in Class A, District 7.
 Kyle Sternberg had a great night throwing the football for AHSTW, completing 13-of-17 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns - all to Raydden Grobe, who finished with six catches for 149 yards. Brayden Lund added five receptions for 39.
 Denver Pauley, meanwhile, was very efficient in the ground attack, carrying the ball 15 times for 157 yards and three scores with a long of 54.
 Defensively, the Vikings were led by Aidan Martin’s 16 tackles, including 14 solo stops, one fumble recovery and one sack. Nick Denning had 7.5 tackles and two sacks and Quintin Martin had eight total tackles and one sack.
 AHSTW limited Sidney (1-5, 0-5 District 7) to just 161 yards of total offense.
