Frederick, Moser lead new-look Cyclone girls
HARLAN -- Since falling one point short in the 2013 state championship game, the Harlan Community girls basketball team has simply taken ownership of the Class 4-A realm, posting 52 straight victories and earning back-to-back state titles.
Expectations won’t be scaled back much this winter for the third-ranked Cyclones, but the make-up of the team certainly has a new dynamic as they prepare for Tuesday night’s 2015-16 season opener vs. 4th-ranked (5-A) Dowling Catholic.
Two familiar faces, senior post Taylor Frederick and senior point guard Jordyn Moser, provide fourth-year Cyclone head coach Zach Klaassen (75-3) an enviable one-two punch in the lineup.
