G-R outscores Spartans 57-34
EXIRA (Sept. 11) -- In a high-scoring 8-Player, District 8 matchup of 0-2 teams, Glidden-Ralston topped Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton 57-34 here Friday night.
Sophomore Trey Petersen had a good night throwing the football for the Spartans, completing 16-of-28 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns. He added 62 rushing yards and one score.
Tyler Kingery, Hunter Andersen and Dane Paulsen all caught a touchdown pass for Exira-EHK. Kingery finished with 10 receptions for 209 yards and Andersen hauled in four for 85.
Defensively, Trey Petersen had seven total tackles and 12 assists while Kingery picked off a pair of interceptions and also scored on a 73-yard kickoff return.
