Harlan drops matchup to Lewis Central
It was a rough day for the Harlan soccer girls as they dropped their game to the Lewis Central Titans 10-0. Head coach Jared Boysen spoke on what he was proud of despite such a tough loss.
“We did a decent job for a while of staying on their feet and not giving them many open looks but they were just too strong and had multiple good scoring opportunities,” Boysen said.
Hana Daoudi, a senior for the Titans was the star of the game as she came away with four goals against Harlan.
“Hana Daoudi is a great player for them,” he said. “We played hard and kept battling, but they out matched us and beat us 10-0 with the mercy rule mid way through the second half.”
It doesn’t get any easier for the Cyclones as they will get right back on the field for three games this week starting with a game Monday night at Merrill Field.
“We hope to rebound next week at home against East Sac and then two tough matchups against Underwood and Atlantic to end the week,” he added.
