Hendricks signs LOI to go play volleyball at DMACC

Zophi Hendricks, a current senior at HCHS has just signed a Letter of Intent to go play volleyball for Des Moines Area Community College.

“Definitely a lot of emotions being sent around,” Hendricks said. “I’m definitely sad to be leaving Harlan, but it’s going to be a great experience going to DMACC and keep playing volleyball.”

Hendricks has been playing volleyball for a lot of years and has had a passion for the game for a long time.

“I’ve been playing volleyball for about ten years now,” she said. “The passion has always been there and I love just being out on the court and I’m super competitive so that even helps.”

Hendricks also went on to talk about what volleyball has taught her throughout the course of her life and how that will help her moving forward.

“Definitely to be patient and that outcomes will not always be what you expect,” she added.
