Comments from Head Coach Robert Cast
“Well, we had some high expectations for our season. I feel we had quite a few successful athletes returning and had some young athletes coming in that were going to be nice additions to our squad and help make for a successful season. I feel we were going to be pretty balanced and able to field athletes in most of the events.
“Obviously our goal was for athletes to continue to improve and achieve their own personal goals and the team goals we had. Qualifying more events for the state meet this year was a main goal we were shooting to accomplish, and I know we had the talent, work ethics, and attitudes to get that accomplished.
“For all our squad, having our season cancelled is a tough thing to accept, but now we need to just focus forward and establish new goals. I feel particularly bad for our seniors - a lot has been taken from them. I know these three senior girls will be successful as they move forward. They were hard workers, had great attitudes and were good leaders. They will be missed next year.”
