Knudson’s 38 field goals all-time best at Wayne State

 WAYNE, NEB. -- Former Harlan Community standout Ethan Knudson capped a record-breaking collegiate career last fall by making 28-of-29 PATs and 12-of-14 field goals as a placekicker for Wayne State College.
 Knudson, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound senior, is a 2016 graduate of Harlan Community High School, where he set school records for single-season field goals made (10) and single-season kickoff average (57.4 yards) as a senior. He also totaled 49 touchbacks in the fall of 2015.
 Knudson leaves Wayne State as the Wildcats’ all-time leader with 38 made field goals in 49 attempts and is second in career kicking points with 226. He made 112-of-124 PATs.
 In addition to his great accuracy as a senior in 2019, Knudson averaged 54.2 yards on 50 kickoffs with 12 touchbacks. He was named All-NSIC South Division Honorable Mention after the season.
 Knudson also excelled in the classroom while majoring in industrial technology and construction management. He received the following awards as a senior: NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence Honors; CoSIDA Academic All-Super Region 4 First Team; CoSIDA Academic All-American First Team; and NSIC/Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award.
