Muxfeldt notches 100th win as Lady Vikes take a pair

AVOCA (Aug. 31) -- The AHSTW volleyball team defeated both Nodaway Valley and Griswold in non-conference triangular action Tuesday night as head coach Kelsey Muxfeldt surpassed the 100-win mark for her career.
The Lady Vikes, now 4-2 overall, outlasted Nodaway Valley in three sets to start the night, winning 25-16, 18-25, 15-7. Later, they swept Griswold 25-15, 25-22.

“Over the past nine years, I have been blessed with some great athletes and assistant coaches,” Muxfeldt stated. “A lot of the credit goes to them as they put a lot of time into the freshmen and JV programs to get them ready to play at the varsity level.
“I am so thankful to have the opportunity to work with these athletes and look forward to the future of this program.”
In the three-set win over Nodaway Valley, Halle Hall led the Lady Vikes with 13 kills (.367 efficiency) and Natalie Hagadon added 12 (.259). Ally Meyers set 21 of the team’s 22 assists.
