Panthers sweep AHSTW in three close sets
AVOCA (Sept. 17) – The AHSTW volleyball team took a talented Logan-Magnolia squad to the limit Tuesday before falling in straight sets, although all three games were highly contested.
The Panthers came into the match with an 11-5 record and the 6-5 Lady Vikes matched them point for point for most of each game before falling just short, 22-25, 23-25, 19-25.
The Panthers are on an eight-game winning streak and moved to 1-1 in the Western Iowa Conference while the Lady Vikes fall to 0-2 in the conference.
Sophomore Ally Meyers led AHSTW with 24 assists and 12 digs, while Paige Osweiler had a team-high 27 digs and Kinsley Scheffler added 11 digs. The kill leader for the Vikes was Scheffler with 15.
