Rueschenberg graduates Summa Cum Laude from ISU

HCHS grad served three years as Cyclone men's basketball manager

 AMES -- Michael Rueschenberg, a 2016 graduate of Harlan Community, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Iowa State University in December of 2019, majoring in elementary education with endorsements in reading and social studies. He has accepted a job at Kuemper Catholic and will be teaching 7th grade social studies this upcoming school year.
 Rueschenberg served as a student manager three seasons for the ISU Cyclone men’s basketball team, capped by their Big 12 Tournament championship run in March of 2019. During his time as manager, Rueschenberg assisted both the coaches and players with daily tasks, filmed games, took statistics, performed other duties at home and away games and helped coach elementary and middle school students at summer camps. He traveled with the team to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational in 2018.
