Spartan netters rally to win in five

 ELK HORN (Oct. 3) -- The Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton volleyball team erased an 0-2 deficit in thrilling fashion Thursday night with a 19-25, 15-25, 25-21, 26-24, 15-11 home win over West Harrison. The Spartans improved to 5-19 overall and 2-4 in the Rolling Valley Conference. Both RVC victories have come in five sets.

  Makaela Riley led Exira-EHK with 14 kills and also served 19-for-19 with two aces while adding 11 digs. Ellie Schultes had seven kills, 13 digs and served 20-for-20 with five aces. Shay Burmeister and Erin Irlmeier added six and five kills, respectively.
