Vikings, Cyclones finish 2-1 at Red Oak quad

 RED OAK -- AHSTW, Harlan Community and Kuemper Catholic all finished with 2-1 records while host Red Oak was 0-3 in a quad wrestling meet held Thursday.
 Most of the duals came down to the final match, including AHSTW’s 37-34 win over HCHS in round one. The Vikings started and finished the dual with technical fall wins by Tim Barr at 170 pounds and Gabe Pauley at 160, winning seven of 12 matches overall. Both teams scored four wins by fall.
 The Cyclones went on to beat Red Oak, 44-36, getting a technical fall from James Erlbacher in the final match, then edged Kuemper, 43-42, for a 2-0 start vs. Hawkeye Ten competition. The Kuemper dual actually finished in a 42-42 tie, but HCHS won on the criteria of scoring first in five out of nine contested matches.
