Wolves blanked by Woodbury Central

 MANNING (Sept. 11) -- The IKM-Manning football team put forth a strong defensive effort Friday night but was unable to put any points on the board in a 14-0 home loss to Woodbury Central.
 The Class A, District 10 opener saw the Wolves fall to 0-3 overall while the Wildcats improved to 2-1.
 Woodbury Central capped an 11-play, 72-yard drive midway through the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead on Jase Manker’s 16-yard pass to Beau Klingensmith. That same combo - Manker to Klingensmith for 21 yards - capped another 72-yard TD drive to start the second half.
 The Wildcats outgained the Wolves 231-101 in total offense and held IKM-M to just seven first downs.
 Wolves’ fullback Kyler Rasmussen was able to gain 73 rushing yards on 19 carries and also led the team with 12 total tackles. Junior quarterback Nolan Ramsey completed 3-of-11 passes for 27 yards, including a 26-yard completion to Drew Doyel.
