Vikings shut down Blackhawks on road

The Vikings had to face an uphill battle in the 5-3 Hinton Blackhawks on the but were able to shut them out 21-0.
“We were very confident going in, and felt good about the match-up,” said Vikings Head Coach G.G. Harris.
Camden Soukup recorded 114 passing yards, along with 88 rushing yards. Kayden Baxter had 61 receiving yards, and defensively Blake Akers was stellar on defense recording 13 tackles.
“Offensively we struggled finishing possessions,” Harris said. “We stalled out at least two or three times in the red zone. That being said, our guys found ways to sustain drives and wear on their defense. It all starts up front. Our offensive line brought the juice in the second half.”
With this win, the Vikings are guaranteed at least more game and they’ll have to do it against a familiar foe who they lost to earlier in the season at home 28-12 in the Underwood Eagles. Eagles come in with an 8-1 record after silencing the East Sac County Raiders in the 1A – First Round Game 44-6.
The Eagles are led by Garrett Luett with 1875 passing yards, and defensively, Graham Jensen with 54.5 tackles.
“After our regular season game vs Underwood, we said, ‘put ourselves in a position where we get to play them again.’ Well, here we are,” Harris added.
