HARLAN -- The Harlan Police Department has a new K-9 officer.  Enzo joined the department earlier this month, and he and handler Sgt.

    REGIONAL -- Iowa Western’s Continuing Education department is partnering with local hospitals and long-term health facilities to recruit and provide free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training for the first 100 Iowa resident applicants.    There will be training programs in Atlantic, Clarinda, Harlan, and at the main campus in Council Bluffs.    There is no cost to Iowa residents.

    HARLAN -- The 29th-annual Tiny Lund Memorial Races will be held Friday-Saturday, Sept. 24-25 at the Shelby County Speedway in Harlan.    A fun-filled family weekend is planned.  Camping is available at the fairgrounds.    Gates open at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 with a pit meeting at 6:15 p.m. and hot laps and racing to follow.  On Saturday, gates open at 2:30 p.m. with a 5:30 p.m.
