 HARLAN (April 13) -- The Harlan Community boys golf team was defeated by Lewis Central 205-219 at the Harlan Golf and Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.

 HARLAN (April 13) -- Seniors Brock Bruns and Mitchell Rueschenberg combined for all three Cyclone wins as the Harlan Community boys tennis team was defeated by Lewis Central 6-3 Tuesday. HCHS dropped to 0-2 on the season going into its Thursday dual at Audubon and will host Kuemper on Monday afternoon. Bruns trailed early in his number one singles match vs. LC freshman Christian Jensen before taking control the rest of the way to win 10-4.

 ADEL (April 9) -- The Harlan Community boys soccer team was defeated twice at the ADM Tournament Friday night, losing to Des Moines East 5-1 and falling to the host Tigers 3-0. The Cyclones dropped to 0-4 on the season. “We are still trying to find our identity and learn to play together as a team,” stated HCHS head coach Dave Voge. “As the Des Moines East game went on we got better, but have a ways to go.

 MANNING (April 10) -- Led by Kyler Rasmussen’s runner-up medalist round of 78, IKM-Manning placed first in Saturday’s five-team home invitational at the M&M Golf Course. The Wolves won the meet with a team score of 345, followed by Underwood 353, Boyer Valley 371, ACGC 380 and Coon Rapids-Bayard 414. Underwood’s Coby Fink was the tournament medalist with an 18-hole score of 75, shooting rounds of 36 and 39.

 MANNING (April 9) -- Tyler Brandt and Bre Muhlbauer earned medalist honors on Friday as the IKM-Manning golf teams opened the season with home dual wins against Riverside. The IKM-M boys scored a 168 at the M&M Golf Course while the girls scored a 249. Riverside did not have enough players for a team score. Brandt shot a 40 over nine holes to earn boys medalist honors and Kyler Rasmussen was the runner-up medalist with a 42.

 DENISON (April 9) -- The Harlan Community girls and boys track teams combined to win 18 events and score 325 points here Friday night, sweeping the team titles of the Denison-Schleswig Co-Ed Invitational. IKM-Manning also made a strong showing in the seven-team meet, combining for six golds and 158 points as the boys placed third and the girls finished sixth. The HCHS girls were the top-scoring team of the night, earning 12 gold medals and ea

 SERGEANT BLUFF (April 6) -- The Harlan Community boys track team scored at least once in all 15 running events and finished one point shy of a team title at Tuesday night’s Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors Co-Ed Relays. OABCIG, led by Cooper DeJean’s three individual gold medals (four overall), won the boys’ half of the meet with 124 points.

 TREYNOR (April 6) -- Quentin Dreyer swept the mile and two-mile races and anchored IKM-Manning’s distance medley relay to victory as well Tuesday night, leading the Wolves to a third-place team finish in the Jerome Howe Relays at Treynor. The host Cardinals won nine events, including four relays, and easily claimed the meet title over Underwood by a 180-108 margin.

 PANORA (April 6) -- The Harlan Community girls track team won six events and placed second four times Tuesday night on its way to a first-place performance at Panorama’s Kip Janvrin Co-Ed Invitational. HCHS totaled 130 points overall, followed by Panorama with 88, Mount Ayr 87, Greene County 60 and Madrid 52. The Cyclone girls won two individual events as Brooke Goshorn placed first in the discus with a throw of 103 feet, four inches and Ally

 MISSOURI VALLEY (April 6) -- The AHSTW golf teams were both defeated by Missouri Valley Tuesday afternoon at the Logan-Mo. Valley Country Club. Led by Jackson Tennis’ medalist round of 38, Missouri Valley won the boys dual 184-197.

 AUDUBON (April 1) -- The Harlan Community girls won all seven relays and eight total events while AHSTW took home two gold medals from Thursday’s Audubon Girls Early Bird Track Meet. Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton also competed in the 16-team meet and placed in two events. Team scores were not kept, but HCHS would have out-pointed the field in a regular meet after placing at least once in 14 of 19 events. The Cyclones showed their toughness and de

 WEST DES MOINES (April 1) -- Led by Aidan Hall’s sweep of the 100 and 200-meter sprints, Harlan Community won four events and placed third out of six teams at the Dowling Catholic Relays on Thursday night. HCHS scored 11 times in nine events overall, posting 44 points as place-winners consisted of just the top five individuals per event and the top three in relays. Hall recorded winning times of 11.47 in the 100 and 23.25 in the 200.
