HCHS girls bowlers 2nd at state qualifying meet

 LE MARS -- The Harlan Community girls bowling team ended its season with a second-place finish in the Class 1A State Qualifying Tournament held February 16 at Sweet 16 Lanes. Forest City won the meet with a total score of 2,678 pins and advanced to last week’s state tournament in Waterloo.

Cyclone boys finish fourth in final bowling meet

Ogden ends Wolves' season in district opener

    OGDEN (Feb. 15) -- Ogden outscored IKM-Manning 28-11 in the third quarter Monday night and held off the Wolves 72-60 in a Class 1A district quarterfinal boys basketball game. IKM-M, which finished the season 6-14 overall, held the Bulldogs to just four points in the second quarter - scoring 16 - but allowed 68 in the other three periods. Ogden made 11-of-21 three-pointers and shot 53 percent overall.
