On June 18,1972 Connie married Karol “Woody” DeForest at the First Christian Church in Woodbine, Iowa.

Funeral services for Catherine Glenn, age 94, of Harlan, Iowa were held Saturday, July 19, 2025 at First United Methodist Church, Grand Junction, Iowa.  Pastor Phil Nielsen of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan officiated.  Music was provided by Marcia Winder and Gary Glenn, accompanied by Maggie Glenn.Casket bearers were Jonathan Glenn, Maggie Glenn, Chad Kroger, Ben Kroger, Dalton Glenn, Brian Glenn, Mica McCarty-Glenn, and Christine Rincon.

John Hemminger

John A. Hemminger, 82, was born in Center Township, Shelby County, Iowa, to his parents Anna Pauline and John M. Hemminger at their home on a farm east of Harlan. John was the youngest of four children, Donna, Ronald, and Charlene, who grew up learning a plethora of skills that would serve him well throughout his life. John attended a one-room school located two miles from his home until the 8th grade.

Kenneth Fahn

Kenneth Albert Fahn, son of Leonard and Alice (Shiltz) Fahn, was born on June 30, 1950 in Defiance, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan, Iowa. Kenneth began his education at St. Michael’s Elementary School and went on to graduate from Harlan Community High School with the class of 1968.Following graduation, Kenneth joined the United States Navy. He served from 1968 to 1972.
