ATLANTIC - Arnold Gude, 95, of Atlantic and formerly of Elk Horn died Thurs., December 26 at Allen Place in Atlantic.    Funeral services will be held on Tues., Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the church. Interment will be in the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery.

    PANAMA - Ronald J. Chamberlain, 70, died on Saturday, Dec. 28 in at the Univ. of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. Chamberlain was a Shelby County historian, well-known Panama athletic supporter/athlete and penned history articles for the Harlan Newspapers beginning in 2010 and began a newspaper history column called Coffee with Ron in 2013.     Visitation is Thursday, January 2 from 4 - 7 p.m. at St.

    WALNUT - Victoria Lee Michaelsen, 67,  Walnut, died Thursday, Dec. 26 at her home.    Public visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 4 - 7 p.m.

    HARLAN - Leonard J. Graeve, 94, Harlan, died Thurs., Dec. 26 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Family will greet friends on Tues., Dec. 31 from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. with burial in the St.

    HARLAN - Dr. Gary Wayne Jorgensen, D.C., 78, died Tuesday, Dec. 24 in Harlan.    Friends  called on Mon., Dec. 30, 3 - 8 p.m. and family met friends from 5 -7 p.m. at Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home, Harlan.    Memorial services will be held on  Tues.,  Dec. 31 at 10:30 a.m.

    TUCSON, AZ -- Word has been received of the death of June Richards, 101, Tucson, AZ, formerly of Harlan, who died Wednesday, Dec.

    ELK HORN -- Lucille Winther, 98, Elk Horn, died December 15 at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn.    Services were held Friday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimballton with burial following in the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery in Elk Horn.    Winther is survived by sister-in-law Esther Bivians of Hemet, CA; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.    Ohde Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    AVOCA -- Eldon Bruce Riesgaard, 90, Avoca, died December 16 at Myrtue Medical Center.    Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery at Avoca.  A prayer service will be held Friday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca.  Visitation is Friday from 4-7 p.m.
